BASF Ultrafuse BVOH
A great support material compatible with many filaments
Printing complex designs can only be done with temporary support structures. The Ultrafuse® BVOH water-soluble support filament has been designed to dissolve easily in water, with a solubility that increases as the water temperature increases. This filament offers great compatibility with a variety of materials, including PLA, PRO1, ABS, ABS Fusion+, PA, and PAHT CF15. It is important to store this monofilament in a sealed bag or container to prevent moisture absorption.
Benefits at a glance
- Water soluble: Dissolves easily in water, making it easy to remove support structures.
- Dissolving speed: Dissolves twice as fast as other PVA materials.
- Compatibility: Compatible with many printing materials such as Ultrafuse PLA, ABS Fusion+, TPUs, PET, PA, PAHT CF15.
Examples of Applications
- Parts with overhangs: Ideal for supporting parts that have complex angles and overhangs.
- Complex Parts: Suitable for intricate and detailed structures that need supports.
- Hollow Parts: Perfect for hollow parts that require an internal support that can be easily removed.
