The Formlabs Form 4BL is the biocompatible, large-format 3D printer for the healthcare industry, capable of producing sterilizable anatomical models and medical devices with speed and reliability unmatched in its class. Powered by the same Low Force Display™ (LFD) print engine as the Form 4, it delivers significantly higher throughput—ideal for bulky parts or batch production, without compromising on accuracy.
Unlike traditional laser systems, where print time increases with the number of pieces on the platform, LFD technology instantly exposes each layer of resin to the entire work area. This means that printing multiple models at once does not lengthen production time — a real advantage for those who manage high clinical or production volumes.

With a 46-micron LED pixel, the Form 4BL ensures razor-sharp part quality even on fine details while maintaining tight tolerances on every resin printed—a requirement when working with anatomical models and devices that must meet precise clinical specifications, print after print.
Largest library of healthcare materials
The Form 4B/4BL ecosystem supports more than 15 medical-grade materials, including biocompatible and sterilizable resins such as BioMed Clear Resin — transparent, rigid, and suitable for assemblies that require consistent dimensional accuracy. Open Material Mode also opens up access to third-party 405nm photopolymer resins, further expanding processing possibilities.
New generation cartridges
