3DCut ABS Plus 3D Filament 800 gr
ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is a versatile and widely used material in 3D printing, known for its impact resistance and ease of use. This type of filament is often preferred for applications that require strength and durability, such as the famous Lego blocks.
ABS Features:
- Impact resistance: ABS is very durable and capable of withstanding mechanical stress, making it ideal for making objects that need a certain durability.
- Matte finish: When printed, ABS has a matte surface that can be further refined through processes such as sanding or vaporizing with acetone to achieve smoother surfaces.
- Wide range of colors: Available in many shades, ABS allows for significant aesthetic customization.
Specifications of our ABS filament:
- Limited risk of warping: This specific filament has a lower tendency to warp than other brands of ABS, reducing problems during printing.
- Use of heated bed: For best results and minimise the risk of warping and shrinkage, it is advisable to use a heated bed with a temperature between ±90-110°C.
Printing tips:
- Bed Setting: Make sure your 3D printer’s bed is heated to the recommended temperature (90-110°C). This helps prevent warping, which is common with ABS.
- Plate adhesion: Use solutions such as Kapton tape, hairspray, or specific 3D printing adhesives to improve the adhesion of the first layer.
- Ventilation: Although ABS is easy to print, it releases fumes during the process. Make sure you have good ventilation in your work area.
- Storage: Store the filament in a dry environment to prevent moisture from affecting the quality of the print.
