3DCut ULTEM 9085 3D Filament
ULTEM 9085 3D Filament has unique properties because it does not come into contact with water during the manufacturing process and is directly vacuum-packed. These properties make the filament particularly suitable for use in FDM and FFF 3D printers. The material has excellent adhesion between layers which results in a great improvement in impact resistance, strength, durability and the printing process.
ULTEM 9085 3D Filament 5 is a high-performance amorphous polymer that combines excellent thermal properties, exceptional dimensional stability, inherent flame resistance, and good chemical resistance into a high-performance 3D printing filament. ULTEM 9085 PEI (polyether imide) resin offers the ability to create parts with excellent properties at elevated temperatures due to a high glass transition temperature of 186°C.
It is a flame retardant 3D printing filament with low smoke evolution and low smoke toxicity, long-term hydrolytic stability, outstanding strength, even at high temperatures, stable dielectric, and dissipation factor over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies.
If necessary, parts printed with ULTEM 9085 3D Filament can be hardened in a hot air oven to reduce hidden printing stresses that may be present in the part. This type of stress can occur in any plastic material and can cause lower mechanical properties than expected. If this occurs with the 3D printed object, you can follow 5 simple procedures for annealing and tempering the parts printed in ULTEM 9085.
