BASF Ultrafuse ASA
A High-Performance Thermoplastic
BASF Ultrafuse ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) is a high-performance thermoplastic, with mechanical properties similar to ABS but with additional advantages, such as high resistance to external weathering. Its UV resistance, toughness, and rigidity make it ideal for 3D printing equipment and external fixtures without compromising properties or color. In addition, Ultrafuse ASA exhibits remarkable resistance to heat and chemicals, making it suitable for a variety of industrial applications.
Benefits at a glance
- UV Stabilized: Retains properties and color under prolonged exposure to sunlight.
- Weather Resistance: Ideal for outdoor applications.
- Long Life: Very strong and durable material.
- Resistant to Wear and Tear: High durability even in extreme conditions.
- Chemical Resistance: It resists well to many chemical agents.
- Heat Resistance: Withstands high temperatures without warping.
Examples of Applications
- Outdoor Use: Components exposed to atmospheric agents.
- Functional Prototypes: Test pieces that must withstand severe conditions.
- Chemical Environment: Applications that require resistance to chemical agents.
- Reasonable Heat Resistance: Parts that must withstand moderate temperatures without losing integrity.
