ABS ESD

ABS ESD is an advanced filament, designed for the electrical and electronics industry, that isolates circuits and components from possible electrostatic discharge (ESD). This shielding material is ideal for printing insulating and protective materials for electronic components, such as trays and housing boxes for electronic boards.

Main features

  • ESD properties: Protection against electrostatic discharge, with a surface > resistivity of 1.00 × 10^6 Ohm/sq.
  • High Strength: Extremely resistant to impact and high temperatures, without deforming.
  • Ease of Printing: Easy to print, with no problems with retraction or nozzle clogging.
  • Compatibility: Compatible with most FFF and FDM printers on the market.
  • Matte Finishes: Available in matte black, offering a clean and professional aesthetic.
  • Made in Italy: Produced by TreeD Filaments, 100% made in Italy.

Benefits at a glance

  • ESD Insulation: Prevents the build-up of electrostatic charges on the surface, preventing damage and electrical discharge.
  • Resistance: Excellent resistance to impact and high temperatures.
  • Ease of Printing: Simple and seamless, with no shrinkage issues.
  • Universal Compatibility: Suitable for all FFF and FDM printers.

Examples of Applications

  • Trays for electronic components: Insulation and protection of electronic boards.
  • Housing boxes for electronic boards: Protective enclosures for sensitive equipment.
  • Applications in the electrical and electronics industry: Protective and insulating parts for various components.

Material Properties

  • Surface resistivity: > 1.00 × 10^6 Ohm/sq
  • Impact resistance: High
  • Heat resistance: High

Guidelines for Printing

  • Filament drying: 70°C for at least 2 hours to improve print quality; Increase the time for 1 kg rolls.
  • Filament handling: Do not leave the filament sitting inside the nozzle for more than 20 minutes.
  • Nozzle temperature: > 210 °C (follow the printer instructions).

General Tips

  • Drying: For best results, dry the filament at 70 °C for at least 2 hours. For larger rolls, increase the drying time.
  • Filament handling during printing: Avoid leaving the filament sitting in the nozzle for more than 20 minutes.
  • Thermal control: Stop the thermal control if the temperature drops below 210 °C.
  • Printer Instructions: Always follow the specifications and instructions provided by the printer to avoid printing problems.
