BASF Ultrafuse PP

BASF Ultrafuse PP is a high-performance 3D printing filament renowned for its low density, high elasticity and fatigue resistance. This thermoplastic is perfect for applications that need to withstand high stress or deformation. Ultrafuse PP is resistant to chemicals and offers a high insulation value, making it ideal for functional prototyping and harsh environment applications. Thanks to its lightness and versatility, it is one of the most widely used materials in the world to engineer light and resistant parts. Its properties include:

  • Tensile Strength (MPa): 9.0 (ZX), 15.5 (XY)
  • Flexural Modulus (MPa): 380 (ZX), 494 (XZ), 575 (XY)
  • Elongation at break: 5.4 % (ZX), 118.6 % (XY)
  • Engraved Izod Impact Resistance (kJ/m2): 2.3 (ZX), 10.6 (XZ), 5.3 (XY)
  • Impact resistance Unengraved Izod (kJ/m2): 11.6 (ZX), 37.6 (XZ), 37.7 (XY)
  • HDT at 0.45 MPa: 54 °C

Printing Guidelines:

  • Nozzle temperature: 220-240°C
  • Bed temperature: 60-80 °C
  • Bed Material: PP Tape or PP Adhesive
  • Nozzle diameter: ≥ 0.4 mm
  • Printing speed: 20-300 mm/s
