Magigoo Pro Metal Adhesive 50 ml: User Guide and Warnings
Magigoo Pro Metal Adhesive 50 ml is a professional adhesive specifically designed for the adhesion of the first layer of the BASF Ultrafuse® 316L material. This adhesive is safe, non-hazardous, non-flammable, and approved for use in the post-processing steps of BASF Ultrafuse® 316L. It also allows for easy removal of “green parts” from the print bed, simplifying the printing process and reducing the risk of damage to printed parts.
BASF Ultrafuse® 316L is a composite filament that enables the production of 316L stainless steel parts using desktop FDM 3D printers and a sintering process. The filament is made from metal particles embedded in thermoplastic binders, ensuring safe and cost-effective printing without the risks associated with handling fine metal powders.
Instructions for use
- Preparation:
- Shake the bottle vigorously to ensure even mixing of the contents.
- Application:
- Apply the adhesive to the desired area of the print bed by pressing the tip to activate the internal valve.
- Spread the adhesive evenly over the selected area.
- Printing:
- Print according to the specifications of the filament or printer.
- Printing conditions: A print bed temperature of 95-105 °C is recommended, but conditions may vary depending on the printer used.
- Removing the printout:
- After printing, soak the entire print bed in water, or just the printed part.
- Wait 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the size of the workpiece.
- Removal: The piece should come off on its own or it will otherwise be easy to remove with a slight twist.
- Cleaning:
- Use a damp cloth to wipe away any adhesive residue from the print bed.
Safety Warnings
- Specific Use: Use of this product with filaments other than BASF Ultrafuse® 316L may cause over-adhesion and damage the print surface. Follow the instructions in the data sheet for best results.
- Washing: Wash thoroughly with plenty of water after use.
- Protection: Wear protective gloves/clothing and protect your eyes/face.
- Eye contact: If eye contact occurs, rinse thoroughly for several minutes. Remove any contact lenses if it is easy to do so and continue to rinse. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
